A New Blog Post on "The Pagan Heretics" Book Of Shadows (BoS) Blogspot page.

Come by and visit us on our new "Blogspot" blog page, http://thepaganheretic.blogspot.com
I created this in a effort to give "The Pagan Heretic" website yet another online presence that is not tied down to the "webs.com" hosting services, don't get me wrong webs.com is pretty awesome... I'm just trying to give this site another outlet to maybe try and get the word out about this site and to help recruit membership.
Also, I am using the new "blogspot" page to showcase some of my older writing pieces on Paganism and Religion, in an effort to clean up the "About Me" section of this website, so instead of posting several different links that direct you to my older writings on my personal myspace.com blog...which I still have..I just don't actively use my myspace anymore since it's recent changes....instead I can post just one link that being this new blogspot blog http://thepaganheretic.blogspot.com and it will have a collection of all the writings there that I feel are still relevant in attempting to get to know more about me and my religious beliefs.
I will update that blog and this site as time allows and I have something of relevance to say, just waiting for the muse to strike. Also, I'm still wishing I could get more traffic and active membership, In previous communications i've stated how i've tried to activly adverise as best I can, submitting the URL to such searcg engines as Google, Yahoo, and Bing. Creating a Twitter account for the website. And creating "Fan" and "Group" Pages on popular social networking sites such as Facebook and Myspace, and now of course a Blogspot blog page.
I guess, I am just waiting for our luck to change and for this lovely site of ours to become relevant and we get a lot of traffic and participation. I anxiously await that day. Until then though, If you know of anyone who may benefit from this site then send em' a link and direct them towards us.
Also, if you have a Blogspot.com blog page then pop on over to our new sister page
and follow us/friend us whatever it is called, comment on our blog postings and help to facilitate a discussion.
Thanks for reading, looking forward to your participation

You Might have been wondering this question, well now I am going to share with you why the name has been chosen.
I Choose the name "Pagan Heretic" Because I went by that moniker on Myspace's Religion Forum for a time, and that was already an E-mail Address I used, So it was easier to use that as a contact e-mail for this site. But, that is not the only reason I choose the name, though it does make for an easy explanation.
I choose the name Pagan, because I identify myself as a follower of Pagan Philosophy and Spirituality, and value the concept of Earth Stewardship and believe in the idea of a Female- Divine presence....a goddess if you will...as a co-creator force side by side with the Masculine Male-Divine presence....the god. As well, as the fact that as previously described this site is intended to relay information and resources/references about Pagan Religious practices as well as be a networking site for those seeking knowledge, wisdom, and just general information about Pagan religions.
And I choose the name "Heretic" because it may be defined as:
"a person who has committed heresy" - Wikipedia
"Heresy is a controversial or novel change to a system of beliefs, especially a religion, that conflicts with established dogma" - Wikipedia
Websters Defines a "Heretic" as one who is; "a dissenter from established religious dogma...." - Merriam-Websters Online Dictionary
In past conversations on other religious forum sites those of the other "mainstream" "established" religions would call me a "Heretic" when I would share my beliefs which they would deem "controversial" and in their eyes calling someone a "heretic" was seen as a negative connotation.....
But, I believe that being a "Heretic" is a positive thing, not a negative thing, and by calling this site "The Pagan Heretic" I am attempting to embrace that word, much like the term "Pagan" used to be seen as a negative connotation until modern day practitioners adopted the word and turned it from a word that used to mean "A backwoods Uneducated Country Bumpkin" in ancient Rome, to now stand for those who practice reverence and stewardship for Mother Earth, and follow a spirituality based on the balance of feminine and masculine divine energies. --- I feel that the word "heretic" can also be a positive thing. If you look at all the religious leaders of the world who are revered, I'm sure at one time or another they were seen as "heretics" within their chosen religious sect for standing up to the "status-Quo" of their time. The word "Heretic" is not only used to describe those who challenge the set religious "status-Quo" but it was also used for those men of Science who questioned how things were, People who considered a "heretic" for centuries for insisting that the world was in fact round and not flat.
The Famous Galileo Galilei Was known as a "heretic" to the Roman Church in Italy for questioning the theory of the time that the Sun Revolved around the Earth, by insisting that the Earth in fact revolved around the Sun. He turned out to be right, and now Modern Science accepts what he and other Scientists theorized as common truths today, that they were ostracized for back in their own time.
In short, to me a "Heretic" is someone who stands up for what they believe in, and sticks to their own moral compass and questions things as they are, even if those around them see them as fools for questioning the "status-Quo" of how things are.
That is why I chose the name "The Pagan Heretic" as the moniker for this site. Thank You.

What Is Up?
I've not really worked on the site much since I sent out a site updatelast time. been doing a few small things here and there. created a Termsof Service (TOS) Page with help from Webs.com and their apps. uh, can'treally think of anything else. I actually really am satisfied with howthe site looks right now. Webs recently came out with a new featurewhere you can "Tab" your site links and I tried to do that but then forsome reason the links weren't showing up on my screen when I went to thesite, so I dunno if it is/was something on my computer or on Webs, or asetting I needed to toggle on the site editor, so to be safe I justwent back to the old way.
I've been busy living life, working a lot of hours at my offline job, working on getting a Drivers License (Lol) and contemplating on going back to college or not to better my future and to try to get a better paying job with better benefits. I know most of you probably don't want to hear about my personal life, and it's not real professional for a Newsletter, but I'm just trying to let you guys know Iv'e not been around as much , I've logged in a few times and have seen there's not been much activity change, and it makes me sad. I really want this site to be successful but I don't know what else I can do to get the word out.
We have "fan" pages/groups on a few of the most popular social networking sites, Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter. you can find links to them on our site under the "About this Site/Contact" link. and also, towards the bottom of the main home page the links are provided there as well.
and I did some quick math involving them today and I came to the conclusion that we have about 67+ people who are either a fan of FB "Fan page", member of the sister group on FB, member of the myspace group...or following us on Twitter. Now, I'm sure there is probably some overlap there, not sure how many...but still that leaves about 40+ unique ppl who are fans of the Pagan Heretic in one social networking site or another.
Yet, we only have 14 members on the main site. What's up with that?
The Pagan Heretic is a great resource yet it's not being put to use. the forum sets idle. and I've tried to do as much promotion as I can that does not involve shelling out ...cash out of my pocket. ive tried FB, Myspace, Twitter, Youtube, submitting the site URL to sites such as Google, Yahoo, and Bing, to boost site traffic and returns in those search Engines Search Results, I have the link posted on my personal Myspace Page, and FB Page, and posted onto my Witchvox (The Witches Voice) Account, and have tried to get the word out through general word of mouth. now its up to you guys. if you haven't signed up. please do so. send an invite to your friends etc. and lets make this a successful online resource community for Paganism and religion and Philosophy in general! How about it?
If you really like the idea of a online resource page dedicated to providing resource information, and networking, in a manner that is open and tolerant of everyone regardless of their religious beliefs or faith just as long as those people share that same respect back with us. If you like the idea of having a discussion forum to post on, where you will be free from harassment for what you believe, and you want to make a difference in our community where you can help show newcomers tn the o Neo-Paganism the ropes and help to point them in the right direction and to help mentor them....then get involved in "The Pagan Heretic" Website, and Participate. the more you participate the more site traffic we can possibly drum up. and let all your friends both online and offline know about this site so that they can check it out as well.
I really don't know what else to say other then I want this site to become a successful one. and the only way it can become that way is if we have participation from the rank and file members just like you.
I think I have a pretty template, with informational links and resources, a prayer request form, a blog, and a Discussion forum.. and more.set up for your use, to help get us started down the path to success, and to help us teach others and to help bust the myths, rumors, and sterotypes surrounding our beautiful collective religions.
As Always, If anyone has any suggestions on how to improve the site, or on how to recruit members and participation, don't hesitate to let me know. I want this site to grow and flourish and the only way I can do that is with your help. and if you think you can help make this site better and want to commit to that, then contact me about considering becoming a Moderator for the site and forum.
So, go checkout the Website, become a "fan" of us on FACEBOOK, join up for the groups on both FACEBOOK and MYSPACE, friend us, and follow our Tweets on Twitter. And help us social network and get the word out.
and most of all......
Thank You very much from the bottom of my heart for your continued interest in "The Pagan Heretic" Neo-Pagan Resouce Page and Online Networking Community and Discussion Forum.
OH, YEAH! AND GO POST ON THE FORUMS! LIKE RIGHT NOW!
